Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try

Think of success as a series of small wins.

You have to accomplish the little goals you set out for yourself before you can achieve your dream. A little progress each day adds up to huge results.

Don’t wait till the end result to be proud, be proud of yourself every step of the way! You’re amazing & you should be proud of your hard work!

“The key to success is to start before you are ready”-Marie Forleo

1. Stop with the excuses

Don’t allow yourself to get stuck in the mindset that you “have to plan everything out before you can start,” this is a trap that will prevent you from ever accomplishing your goals.

You don’t need to perfectly research your dream, have a few resources and then just start! Collect the knowledge as you go!

There is always going to be something going on in life that you can use as an excuse. Don’t. Life is always busy, just start working on your goal and take it slowly, piece by piece.

Believe what you want so much that it has no choice but to materialize”

2. Create Milestones & Create a Timeline

Creating a timeline is so important to accomplishing your goals! Think about where you want to be in 1 month? 3 months? 6 months?…and so on. Use this time break down in order to set your milestones.

You should create mini-milestones, short-term goals, and long-term milestones. By doing this you are ensuring that you are always working towards an achievable goal.

There is no way you could build a multi-million dollar business in one month, but you may be able to set up the website and meet with investors in a month.

Setting small realistic goals according to a reasonable timeline will help you stay motivated and ultimately achieve your dream!

“Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistently.”

3. Stay Consistent

You are going to reach your goal if you are consistently growing & improving. You should be consistently taking steps in the right direction. Do not sabotage yourself!

For example, if your goal is to build a successful blog then you shouldn’t be posting “When the mood hits”, you need to stay consistent! In this example, you could stay consistent by creating a content calendar or a posting schedule.

If you cannot hold yourself accountable, find someone who will!

“Don’t stop until you’re proud!”

4. Keep Track of Your Progress

Track your accomplishments as you progress so you can keep motivated! If you can look back & see how far you’ve come, you’re more likely to keep going.

Tracking your progress allows you to become more aware of what’s working for you & what isn’t. Never forget how far you’ve come & how successful you are!

“Let go of the thoughts that don’t make you strong”

5. Don’t Give Up!

Do not get down on yourself! You can do this, you have all the tools you need to accomplish your dream! It takes time to get things done, there is no such thing as overnight success.

Don’t let the pressures of life prevent you from accomplishing your goals! Achieving your dream is going to be a journey full of ups and downs.

It’s okay to get frustrated, just take a deep breath and know you got this gurl!!

I absolutely love this – such useful and inspiring advice! Setting a timeline has definitely helped me stay accountable to myself.

You mentioned Mario Forleo – I was wondering if you’ve done the Copy Cure? I tried the freebie lesson and was really keen but was a bit scared to invest! Any advice on it would be much appreciated 🙂

I actually haven’t done the Copy Cure or any of Mario Forleo’s stuff. I found the quote on Pinterest and quite like it, so I added it in 🙂
